Girls und Panzer Vol.04!

Keeping with consistency, they’ll be released on a per episode basis. No, I can’t remember why I decided to do that in the first place.

In other news, our QC really loves this show. He’s watched every episode probably 10 times by now. Observe here, a line from the QC report he gave me:

What do you think?

Onii-chan Dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne!

Finally found QCs, and speaking of them, that’s where most of the show is stuck at! Once they give the OK, or show me the errors of my ways, we can get them out the door.
Few notes:

  • We’ll be releasing them in volumes. 01-04 will be here shortly (most likely anyway)
  • Subs are Hiryuu
  • No 720p version will be released, nor any kind of XviD/avi releases or anything like that

And while we’re on that topic, we’ve decided that we won’t be doing any 720s anymore, unless it’s a movie or something similar. We’ll finish Joshiraku in 720 (whenever that happens anyway), but after that, you guys will have to look elsewhere for your mutilated video. Even if the studio upscaled it from 720, downscaling it will not fix the artifacts created. But here’s not the place for this discussion…

Ebiten Finished!

Batch is here.

This marks the first batch release by Farfie Subs! We’re happy, but not happy about having no other sub group to choose from for this show other than Horrible. Nothing against their subs, but they only get the job done, and don’t focus on being, well… “nice looking.” It doesn’t really fit for what we aim here, but another aim we have is to bring good shows that no one else seems to want to do, so it’s a bit of a paradox.

Anyway, as you may have read on Nyaa, we have no dedicated server or anything. My upload is about 225 KB/s, so hang in there and it’ll finish. If you have the previous episodes and want to contribute, simply add them to one folder with the same name as my torrent, force a recheck on your torrent client, and start seeding! It would be amazing to say the very least.

Credits:While we have a decent number of people in the group, I worked on this myself. So, drumroll..

Everything – Farfie

Hope you enjoyed it!

Joshiraku Concerns

I’ve been getting some concerns from people that Joshiraku is dropped. We don’t want to drop it, but the previews in some of the latest episodes have new dialogue that need to be translated. I had a friend from a certain doujinshi translation group help with 9, but he has disappeared for 10. I don’t want to beg for a translator, so we’ll continue to try to find one ourselves, but it’s only 20 seconds or so of dialogue, so if you know someone that could help have them e-mail me.

I could also just release it since the preview isn’t very important, but we try to aim forĀ archival quality in this group (without being TOO bloated in the filesize department), so I would rather not. If I get behind another volume or two though, I might add a poll to ask people if they want me to release the episodes anyway. So we’ll see.

Zetsuen no Tempest Vol.01

Zetsuen no Tempest Vol.01

I was actually going to watch this sooner, but I’m glad I waited. Now I get to watch it while I do releases!

Oh, and Oniichan Dakedo still needs some QCs. I know not many people come here, but I’ll press on until the right candidate wanders by. As long as you don’t see a post on the front page that says we’ve found someone, you can assume we have not.

Ebiten Volume 04

I still wish I had more groups to choose from for subtitle tracks, but here they are:
07 – 1080p torrent
08 – 1080p torrent

I also want to pick up Onii-chan Dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne!,
but we need a QC… nudge nudge… people out there!

And sorry about how there is little consistency with how I release different shows (some of them by volume, others by episode). In the future it’ll be different.

Kawaii Codec Pack

Kawaii Codec Pack

Okay so it seems there’s a lot of people out there still using VLC, CCCP (though this isn’t too bad depending on the options you choose during install), K-lite, MPC-HC standalone, and other travesties.

I’m sure at some point in your internet adventures, you heard about this elusive yet alluring thing called madVR. Everyone told you that you should use it, and that you’re a moron for even thinking VLC is sort of good (they might have even saged your thread!) Well fear not, because the wonderful people over at haruhichan are developing a codec pack that incorporates all of the super powerful, efficient, and quality seeking filters that power users have been employing for years now. madVR is only the tip of the iceberg when you’re talking about an excellent experience, and this pack is aiming to bring the best of the best to you without having to become a nerd in the process.

Click the link, follow the directions in the thread it takes you to and read a bit about it. It’s well worth your time, I promise. If you have any problems or questions, you can either skim through the thread, or ask me, I really don’t mind helping out.

Good luck.

First Post, need QCs!

Hey all! Feels good to be able to post whatever I like, without the constraint of whatever torrent site I’m uploading to.
I never actually intended to make a site like this, but things were a bit different in the beginning… now I’m in need of QCers for various anime titles.
To get right to the point, you should be good at English, and have “seen quite a few anime in your time.”
Knowing the quirks of modern subbing that make it look nice (one simple example is dropping the text of a line just before a scenechange) is imperative. A great QC is one that knows a decent amount about everything, but doesn’t want to do a lot of the initial grunt work.

Anyway, I’m just getting deep about this because many think a QC job is an easy one. While there isn’t much actual labor to be performed, the difference between a novice and a pro is easy to tell.
Must have Skype.

How this will all go down will be said in detail through exchange of emails. So, fire me one if you’re interested!
